Gang-Rape Case : Jharkhand Police on Friday handed over a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the husband of a Spanish woman who was allegedly gang-raped in Dumka.
According to the police, the Spanish woman was gang-raped in Hansdiha police station area when she was going from West Bengal to Nepal.

“Deputy Commissioner Anjaneyulu Dodde said on Monday “We conducted a swift investigation and on behalf of the district administration, we are providing them (the rape victim and the husband) all assistance under the Victim Compensation Scheme, we have given them Rs 10 lakh. Will try a speedy trial and convict the accused.

The rape victim’s husband thanked the police for a very “swift investigation”.
According to the police, seven people are involved in the gang rape of a Spanish woman. Three of them have been arrested.
The arrested accused was sent to judicial custody after being produced in the local court on Sunday.
